Christmas '07

This year was great with Connor celebrating his first Christmas. Christmas Eve morning (the day we do our Christmas Morning thing) Cana came in and woke us up; Connor wasn't even awake yet so I had to wake him up. After the traditional rummaging through our stockings in mine and Matt's bed, we headed to the Christmas Tree to see what Santa brought for the kids. Santa brought Connor a Leap Frog Learn-Around that makes music and teaches various things like letters, numbers, and colors.

Connor even helped open some of his gifts, though true to being a baby, he was more interested in trying to eat the wrapping paper than opening his gifts. After all the presents were opened, we sat down for breakfast. Keeping with Tradition, we had cinnamon rolls and decided to let Connor have a few bites of one. This just proved to us why we don't give him sugar. It took us 2 hours longer than it normally does to get him to take his nap! And he didn't even have a whole cinnamon roll!

Papa came over later that morning to hang out for a little bit and give Cana her presents (since she wouldn't be with us on Christmas Day). Nanny and Papa showed up a little later to see the kids for Christmas. That evening we had about 30 people over and Connor didn't get to bed until after midnight. Connor even got a special visit from Santa Clause (Grandpa). Amazingly enough with that many people and as thin as our walls are, Matt was able to get Connor to sleep.
Christmas morning a few people were still over and Connor got a bit more play time in with Chloe before they had to leave. That evening, it was over to Papa and Grandma's (Hill) house for Christmas dinner. By the time we got home from dinner, Connor was good and ready for a long night of quiet sleep.
