picnic in the park

This last weekend, we went to the park with a friend, who dabbles a bit in photography. She was able to get some of the cutest pictures of Connor and Cana. Here are some of my favorites of Connor, but check out Cana's blog to see the ones of her.

bathtub games

Connor likes to play this game in the bathtub when bath-time is over. I will ask him to pull the plug and hand it to me, which he will, quite obediently for a 15 month old. But then he will go back to the other side of the tub where the drain is and plug up the drain with his little butt cheeks. He'll go back and forth between plugging up the bath so the water stays in and moving off of it so some water will drain.

Oh, but the fun doesn't end there. Once all the water is out of the tub, he will come over to the side I am on (we have glass doors, so I'm usually at the opposite end of the tub) and pretend like he's going to get out of the tub. Just as I go to get him, though, he hauls butt back to the drain and sits there until I gently grab his ankle and slide him back over. As I lean down to get him, he hauls it back over to the drain to repeat the process. The whole while he is busting up laughing at the game If it wasn't so darn cute to see him crack up at how funny he thinks he is, I would put a stop to it much sooner.

no more bottles

i forgot to post about this, but Connor is officially off the bottle as of a couple of weeks ago. He got an ear infection and a really bad chest cold a few weeks ago, so we decided not to give him any milk for a little while. By the time we started giving him milk again, we just didn't offer him a bottle, but gave it to him in a cup instead. After talking to his daycare lady, it turns out he hasn't been taking a bottle at daycare for a few weeks either.

So yeah! Next step....get rid of the pacifier....that one shouldn't be fun AT ALL.

"Ah di!"

Connor has started telling us when he's all done with his food by hollering "Ah di!" Though I know that "Ah di" isn't actual words, it's neat to hear him getting close to talking. I guess in the end, though, if we understand him, then it truly is communicating.
