pudding

My mom decided to get brave and let Connor feed himself his sugar-free pudding. Well sorta brave, anyway...she was smart enough to put a towel down.

monkey suit

My mom picked up this tux for Connor over the weekend. Check him out...

Cana

Connor has always called Cana "Nayna" ever since he could learn to refer to her by a name. On Monday, he started calling her "sister" because he was so proud that he not only knew the word, but that he knew how it applied. This morning he actually said "Cana" clear as day. However, as soon as Matt called her over to let her hear, it was back to "Nayna". He could still say it, but for whatever reason he wouldn't say it when she was listening. Guess that's the stubborn boy in him that he gets from my family.

words

The other night Matt and I sat down and updated a book that we have where we keep track of all the new words that Connor learns. After tallying them all up, he has about 150 words that he uses on a regular basis!

cute

We all know that Connor is cute...and we aways say that he knows he is cute, but last night he made his knowledge more clear than he ever has. Matt was feeding him some dinner and I was chatting Matt up about my day. I mentioned to Matt that 2 different parents of Connor's friend's had commented how cute Connor was. Connor looks at Matt, points to himself and says "Cute!" We both about died laughing.

Connor's Elmo

At Grandma's house last night, Connor got his very first Elmo and boy does he love it. Here are some pics that my mom took of him with his new toy.

He slept with Elmo all night and refused to get out of bed this morning without him. I was really surprised that Elmo didn't come in the car this morning with us on the way to school.

brain freeze

Connor had his first brain-freeze episode a little bit ago. He was eating a popsicle for dessert and totally loving it. All of a sudden he starts crying and gets mad at his popsicle and throws it down on the table. He looks up at us and starts hitting his hand against his forehead. All of this happened in the span of a couple of seconds, and right as Connor touches his forehead, Matt and I both realize he has brain freeze. I gave him a cup of lukewarm water to help it go away faster, and after a couple of minutes, he was back to enjoying his popsicle, albeit cautiously.

Scottish Games 2008

This was Connor's second year attending the Games. He had a lot more fun this year than last year, I think since he can actually walk now. His kilt fit him much better than last year too. Here are a few shots of him hanging out with Papa & Cana.
