Roll Over

Today was very exciting because Connor rolled over from his stomach to his back for the first time! We were at his grandma's house and he was playing on his tummy on the floor. He very easily propped himself up on his left side, but couldn't quite get his butt to turn over. Eventually, he got frustrated enough and started kicking his legs and propelled himself over. I was so excited to see him go. I'm looking forward to seeing him move again, but enjoying this milestone very much.

Napping with Grandma

At grandma's house for our regular visit, Connor crashed on grandma's chest holding her hand. These are my favorite kind of naps.

Heads Up

Here's a pic of Connor holding his head up this afternoon. For a few seconds I thought he was going to roll over because he kept pushing up with his right arm and rocking on his left a little. I guess we still have a ways to go before he can get all the way over, but it sure is fun watching him try.

Daycare

For those that don't know, we finally found daycare for Connor. The lady who will be watching him is very close to my work and came highly recommended by 2 people I know. There are many, many things that we like about her, but mostly that she's very dedicated to the kids she watches. Her backyard is like a park specifically designed for kids; she even has a garden that the kids help her plant.

She won't have a spot until June, but luckily my bosses are amazing and letting me work from home until then. It's great because we get to have Connor with someone we trust, plus I get a little more time at home with him.

Just Loungin'

We went to Babies R Us the other day, and their photo center offered to take some pictures of Connor for free so they could get some practice. Here are my favorites.

Fun with Ink

I have a a cute little handprint/footprint kit that I wanted to do before connor got too much older. Plus his baby book has a spot for his handprints and footprints. Trying to get ink on this litle guy's hands though was amazingly hard. I managed to get the feet done decently, but every time I tried to get his hands done, he would ball them up into fists. In the end I gave up on the hands and decided I would try again another day. And although I cleaned his hands and feet as I went, he still ended up with ink all over his body. I guess that's just something I'm going to need to get used to. I'm sure he'll be plenty more messy than this in the future.

Sleepy Baby

One thing that I have found over time is that if Connor doesn't get his bath, then he doesn't sleep near as well as he normally does. Last night, he was sleeping when it was time for his bath, so I just went ahead and got him ready for his bath. I've done this before and he usually wakes up when I put him in the warm water. Tonight, though, when I put him in the water, he stayed asleep. In fact, I was able to give him his entire bath without him waking up. He did end up waking up after his bath when I was getting him dressed. I would have taken a picture, but daddy couldn't hear me because he was working with his headphones on and I wasn't going to leave him in the water. But trust me when I say that he was so cute sleeping in his bath.

New Fascination

Connor has a new-found fascination with the TV remotes. (No he doesn't watch TV) The remotes sit on the arm of one of the couches that we play on. Lately, he loves to just stare at them. We have 3 but he's really just interested in 2 of them. Today I let him hold the green one, or at least as much as he could hold it with those tiny little hands. His daddy thinks it hilarious and points out that he can't be a man without a remote.

Clan Gunn's Newest Member

Here's a pic of Connor sporting his first of many Clan Gunn t-shirts. The clan moto is "Either Peace or War" for those who can't read the fine print. :) In the sunlight, he has a slight red tint to his hair proving he has some of the celtic blood.

Hi

I decided to set up this blog so that everyone could see how Connor's doing whenever they want. My plan is to update this every couple of days or so and let you know what he's doing that's cute and exciting. I'll try to post pictures with each post also so you can get a chance to see how he's growing. Please feel free to leave comments if you'd like.
