Connor: [wearing a balaclava, laser tag gun, backpack, kids home depot apron, hardhat, and sword] Connor is gone, Dad! Enemy soldiers got him!
Dad: Wow, he's only 4 years old. What would enemy soldiers want with him?
Connor: Cuz he's very brave, and he's very smart, and he's very fast!
Dad: What does that have to do with enemy soldiers?
Connor: Ice.
Dad: What?
Connor: Ice. It was all around him.
Dad: Oh, ok then.

Connor was watching an episode of Backyardigans earlier where the characters are pretending to be in a museum where the art comes to life (like a mock of Night at the Museum). At one point, the characters in a painting move from one side to the next, which causes the painting to tip over. When the night guard sees it, he's confused, but doesn't fix the painting. Connor apparently was annoyed by this because he asked me, "Why is he not fixing the art, Mom?"
Later, the night guard was splattering paint onto a canvas and Connor said, "He's getting paint all over the walls!"
Guess my boy is a bit OCD like his mom.

sneaking
We flipped Connor's bed over yesterday so that he could sleep on the top bunk and have a nice play area underneath his bed. He was pretty excited about it and even created a cool science lab with the help of Matt.
Apparently his excitement carried over into the evening too. About 2 hours after he was put down for bed, Matt catches him coming out of his room down the hall. When he asked Connor what he was doing out of bed, Connor said, "I was sneaking to Cana's room to say hi to her."
Hopefully some of the excitement will wear off soon and he will actually sleep in his bed.

Big Brother
Connor is loving being a big brother. He loves to give him kisses and is a big helper getting things for mommy. He's quite protective already and when his Nana was holding Xander, he told her in his stern voice, "Nana, you be careful with my baby"
Today, I told Connor that he could come hang out with me while I changed Xander's diaper. He got his little step stool out and was pretty grossed out to see that Xander had gone poop. I was in the middle of explaining to him that it's something all people do when he got a wiff and took off running down the hall whining, "Ooooh, I don't like that smell!!" He didn't come back in the room until we were all done.
