Siting Up
Connor has been working on sitting up over the past few weeks. He's getting pretty good too. He can usually make it about 10-15 mins before he topples over to one side. I thought I has some pics, but I guess I don't, so I will be sure to snap some and add them to the post.

Peek-a-Boo
Matt has been playing Peek-a-Boo with Connor for as long as I can remember. On Saturday, when my mom was over, she started playing with him. It was so cute when he started PLAYING himself. He would grab the blanket and pull it over his face, then wait a second and pull it down. He just gets the biggest kick out of it. And of course, so do we. It's so neat to see him learning to interact.
Feet
In the last few weeks, Connor has really started to find and play with his feet. His favorite thing to do is lay down on his back and grab his toes, which curves his back and lets him rock around. According to his daycare lady, he also likes to hold on to his toes when she's trying to change his diaper.
And if you're wondering, he's still doing great at daycare. He seems to really like it there.

Vegetables
We started Connor on his first real foods last week. The first one he had was peas and he is NOT a fan. He took the first few bites in okay, but then make gagging faces when he ate the rest. We'll have to try again another time after he's had some other foods. He is however a HUGE fan of sweet potatoes and green beans. Carrots are good too, but he really likes the other ones.

First Day at Daycare
Monday was Connor's first day at daycare for a full day. We did a trial run on Friday to get him use to being with the daycare lady and he didn't do very well. He was ok for the first hour, but then he cried non-stop until I picked him up later. (He was only there for a total of 2.5 hours)
Monday, however, he did great. He was a little fussy and wouldn't take his naps, but overall he did pretty good for the first time being away from me for that long. He did even better today. I am so glad to hear that he's comfortable where he's at. It makes it so much easier on me knowing that my boy is being loved and cared for while I'm not there.
And for those wondering, I did pretty good too on my first day back. :)

Remote
Mato Wanartaka
One of Connor's favorite pastimes is kicking. If you're laying next to him and he can't reach you to kick...he'll specifically move to where he can reach a part of your body and then continue to kick. It's kinda funny if you are moving out of the way each time, to see how he rearranges himself so he can reach you. So Matt just decided today that Connor's native american name should be Kicking Bear. He looked it up, and apparently in Lakota Kicking Bear is Mato Wanartaka.
Daycare Trial Run
Friday, we had a trial run at daycare for Connor. I dropped him off for a couple of hours so he could have a chance to get use to being with the lady. He did good for the first hour, but then when he got hungry, he got pretty upset that I wasn't around to feed him. The daycare lady is great and did everything she could to comfort him.
I know it's going to be a bumpy ride, but we'll get through it. It'll be my turn on Monday to deal with it. This will be the first time since he was born that I'll be away from him for more than 2 1/2 hours. Wish me luck!
