Tahoe Trip

Matt and I went up to Tahoe this past weekend to celebrate our first anniversary. Being that Connor is so young and that we'd be there for 3 days, we decided to take him with us. He had a blast in the bathtub/swimming pool we had. There was a HUGE jacuzzi tub that was like a pool for him. In fact, he threw the biggest fit I've ever seen him throw when we took him out. He also got the chance to hang out in the hotel's indoor pool and love it! This boy is definitely a water baby.

Swings

We were at a birthday party this last weekend and Connor had the chance to check out what real swings were. I swear, I think he would have fallen asleep if I had left him in there for any length of time.

Last night Connor decided he was done sleeping at 1:45am. After trying everything to get him back to sleep, Matt finally came out in the living room with him, and put him in his playard with some toys and decided to just play with him for a bit. After about a half hour of that, Connor decided he was ready to go back to sleep. He did the same thing except for a longer stretch of time on Friday night. He's never been one to have days and nights mixed up before, so I have no idea what this is all about. I just hope he gets over it soon because 2am play sessions are not my idea of a "good night's sleep".

bucket o' drool

I'm anticipating seeing a new tooth come in for Connor with how much drool he had this weekend. At one point, we had let him play on his own for about 20 mins and when we picked him up, his shirt was soaked! I've never seen so much drool on a baby before. :)

Truckin' Along

This weekend Connor started figuring out how to really get moving via army-crawl. Before, if he wanted to get somewhere, he would roll all over the place, but this method seems to be much more effective. Oddly enough, I think his bathtime helped with it a bit. A few nights ago he decided that bathtime was much more fun spent on his stomach. (The tub only has a few inches of water, so it worked out ok when he remembered to keep his head up.) When he wanted one of his toys in the tub he would try to propel himself forward; which proved to be successful. Here's a video clip of him this morning going after his all-time favorite toy...the remote.

The Games

We went to the Pleasanton Games today, which was Connor's first big Games trip. It was insanely hot out, but we made sure to keep him hydrated with a ton of water and ice. (yes, ice. he loves to suck on ice when it's hot.) It was really neat to see both the kids dressed up, they both looked adorable. We stayed for about 5 hours, which I am fully impressed by considering we had a baby with us. But around 1:30pm he finally fell asleep for a much needed nap. He did really good though.
